College student Andrew Taylor of Holton Road, Carterton, West Oxfordshire Technical College in Witney, demonstrated his pet tarantula Maximilian the red-legged Mexican tarantula to lecturers and students as part of his English language O-Level assessment. He was joined by other students who also brought in musical instruments, fishing tackle and a ten-pin bowling set to demonstrate their interests. Although the tarantula put the jitters up a few of Andrew’s fellow students, they ended up fascinated by the demonstration.
