On April 4, 1990, Bill Jones of the Red Lion pub in Islip, Oxfordshire, was presented with the Bill Fyfield Trophy by Joe Knight after being crowned the top doll scorer in the William Hill League at Bicester. Jones finished with a total of 134 dolls, edging out his competitors to claim the title. The trophies for the William Hill League were presented by the Mayor of Abingdon, Mrs Badcock, at the tournament’s conclusion.
