Skipping ropes were all that was needed to raise 330 for a heart research charity. Over 100 second year Burford School pupils, aged 12 and 13, put in an energetic spell of sponsored skip- ping to raise the money. The sponsored skip, joined by some of the teachers, was held over two evenings at the school and altogether raised 441, a quarter of which has been retained for buying school sports equipment. Second year pupils hope to raise further money for heart research dur- ing their Activities Week in July.
