After Ian talked incessantly of his desire to jump by parachute from an aeroplane, Pat decided to make it a reality. She paid for a weekend training course for him at the Oxford and Northants Parachute Centre near Brackley. The training will be followed by the jump on Sunday, which Ian is sponsoring in aid of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
