On January 1st, 2000, the town of Wallingford celebrated the start of the new millennium with fireworks and candles at the Regal Centre and Kine Croft. Among the participants were Jessica Axton, 10, Tegan Whitehouse-Lloyd, 5, and Calum Mackenzie, 5, and his sister Catherine, 3, who all held candles to mark the occasion. Towns people also enjoyed the evening.
