On Monday, June 2, 1967, two young rowers of the Wallingford Rowing Club, Andrew Cusack and Tony James, both aged twelve, proudly displayed the clubs new blades at the clubs annual fete. The clubs crew also took part in the Sun Cup for novice fours, but were narrowly beaten by Wallingford Grammar School. Besides the many sideshows and stalls, a special attraction this year was an exhibition of paintings by local artists, as well as a huge hat contest which was won by Wendy Hobbs.On Monday, June 2, 1967, two young rowers of the Wallingford Rowing Club, Andrew Cusack and Tony James, both aged twelve, proudly displayed the clubs new blades at the clubs annual fete.
