Villagers from Stonesfield, Oxfordshire have raised more than 3,000 in memory of Geoff Parsons, who died of leukaemia. The money will be given to a special bone marrow transplant programme at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, where 35-year-old Mr Parsons was a patient. The cheque was presented to Dr Christopher Bunch at the hospital by Geoff’s parents, Val and George. They also handed over an infusion pump designed to regulate the administration of drugs to leukaemia patients.
