On February 15, 1967, Thestate announced its UHK 347E 3×2 estate car, claimed to be the first British estate car designed independently and not adapted from a saloon. It features a maximum load space of 70 cubic feet with a total platform length of 6ft. 4in. and two versions, a De Luxe priced at 816 3s. 4d. and a Super at 889 18s. 4d. The car is powered by the 1,300 c.c. engine, with a four-speed all-synchromesh gearbox, hydraulic disc self-adjusting brakes, independent coil front and semi-elliptic rear suspension, and no grease points.
