Twenty years after the closure of the Woodstock branch line, located in Kidlington, England, two local men, Mr. Maurice Davis and Mr. Richard Lingard, have come together to revive the memory of the line. Mr. Davis has created a scale model of the Woodstock terminus as it was in its heyday, complete with its correct rolling stock and an accurate replica of its Fair engine, Rosamund. Meanwhile, Mr. Lingard is nearing the completion of a book about the line, which was open from 1890 to 1954, which is to be published in May by the Oxford Publishing Co. The two men have managed to trace many of the men who worked on the line, but are still on the lookout for any anecdotes, photographs, or connected equipment associated with the railway.Twenty years after the closure of the Woodstock branch line, located in Kidlington, England, two local men, Mr. Maurice Davis and Mr. Richard Lingard, have come together to revive the memory of the line.
