Mr David Munday, left, and Mr Kenneth Lander, both teachers at Bayswater Middle School in Headington, Oxford, received their long service awards and cheques for 50 from Miss Ann Spokes, chair- man of Oxfordshire County Council. Mr Munday, 52, married with three grown-up sons is deputy head of the school. He started his career in 1951 at New Marston County Prim- ary School. In 1959 he moved to the then Shepherds Hill School in Black- bird Leys. Then 14 years later he joined the staff at Bayswater School. He comes from a family of teachers and his father, mother, sister and himself have 90 years of teaching between them. Mr Lander, 62, who is also mar- ried with three children, is head of the fourth year and co-ordinator of craft. He came to the school from Tem- ple Cowley School where he had been for eight years. His career at Bayswater extends over 22 years. He organises the Bayswater and Cheney adult education centres. He was a Football League referee and is vice-president of the Oxford Boys Sunday League. =7 DECT981
